Island life in Koh Samui

By Adene Cassidy | Feb 15, 2018 |
So you think a tropical island with white sandy beaches, coconut trees and clear blue waters only exists on Instagram, a luxury holiday just for bloggers?

Well think again, LayAway Travel has just added the stunning and popular Thailand Island, Koh Samui to its long list of holidays you can layby!

Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island, located on the East Coast, it’s an easy flight from Australia and is known for its luxury resorts, lush mountainous rainforest, local cuisine and beautiful sunsets. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family holiday you will find a resort to suit your taste and more importantly your budget.

There are so many beautiful spots on the island to choose from, but Chaweng Beach is one of my favourites for many reasons.

At 5km long, this white sandy beach has much to offer. With its rocky headlands at either end, it overlooks the island of Koh Matlam to the North and an offshore reef. Which means you can snorkel, dive, swim, eat, enjoy cocktails and take day trips all from the one location.

You can enjoy all of this from the privacy of your resort or you can soak up the holiday atmosphere on the beach.

If you like to indulge in a massage, the choices are endless, Chaweng Beach is lined with salons offering the best Thai spa and beauty treatments.

If you’re travelling with kids and need to keep them entertained, you won’t be disappointed. Aquapark Samui operates in front of Monkey Bay Bar, just 40 metres off the sand, a huge inflatable, floating fun park which is guaranteed to wear out even the most energetic child, or adult for that matter!

For travellers seeking a nightlife it’s just a short distance from Soi Green Mango, where you’ll find cheap drinks and an array of pumping discos!

Finish of the day with spicy Thai noodles and a sunset cocktail, then wake up and do it all again!

LayAway Travel has 4 resorts to choose from, ranging from 3 to 5 Star. Layby a honeymoon or family holiday, you won’t be disappointed!
