Our Top 10 Rides at Disneyland

By Adene Cassidy | Aug 17, 2017 |

Ever wondered what Disneyland is really like?

Here’s a glimpse inside this world of make believe, where rides and characters transport you back in time, into space, into haunted mansions and storybooks!

 1. The Haunted Mansion

This gothic Baltimore manor was part of the original plans for Disneyland but it wasn’t until 1969 when the doors creaked open. A ghoulish and weird ride which you don’t want to do by yourself!

 2. Pirates of the Caribbean

A 15 minute boat journey through a seedy underworld of pirates, thieves and beggars. This ride is 50 years old and is one of the most popular rides at Disneyland.

3. California Screaming

Brace yourself for an epic ride, from 0-88km in 4 seconds this rollercoaster lives up to its name! Head up to 120 feet, then drop down 108 feet, up and down and around for a full 2 and a half minutes over a 6,072 foot long track! In between screaming rock out to some great music that’s played in each individual car. This is the second longest rollercoaster in the United States and the 6th longest roller coaster in the world!

4. Space Mountain

Rocket your way into space on this rollercoaster which first opened in 1975. It’s a Disneyland classic and at the time cost $18 million to build, more than the park itself which cost $17 million by the time the gates opened in 1955. It’s a rollercoaster for those who’d rather ease their way into the park!

 5. Radiator Springs Ride

Grab your hats, your steering wheel and get ready to race. This ride is awesome, step inside the world of Cars and thrash your family to the finish line. The only downside, it leaves you wanting more!

6. Indiana Jones Adventure

If you’re a fan of the movie series and you fancy yourself an adventurer step into the crumbling walls of this ride where you’ll be flung through the Chamber of Destiny and the Tunnel of Torment, we wish you luck getting out the other side!

Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not, this is a must do. Travel through the universe with 3D video, flight simulation and special effects which will leave you wondering if you’re in a movie. Brace yourself for an epic battle, just don’t go to The Dark Side.

9. Toy Story Mania Ride

Inspired by the movies, join Woody and his toy friends in this 4D Spring-Action shooter ride. This is great fun for the whole family, take aim and fire, and tally your scores to see who has the best shot!
