Following an extensive $100 million renovation and an 18 month journey, Daydream Island Resort is reopening, May 2019. The new premium resort is set to become a tropical haven for romantics & families!

What’s New:

- Refurbished rooms and suites.

- Three restaurants and five bars offered across the island, including an Asian fusion restaurant and burger concept restaurant. 

- Exclusive adults only areas and cabanas for those in search of a sanctuary. 

- A larger Living Reef where guests will be able to join the team of marine biologists who live on the island and feed baby stingrays who live amongst over 100 species of marine life.

- Breathtaking new pool landscape allowing guests to swim and enjoy three separate pools with unparalleled views across the Whitsunday’s Great Barrier Reef

How to get there:

Daydream Island is located on the doorstep of the great barrier reef accessible by a 30 minute catamaran ride from Hamilton Island
All layby packages include flights and transfer to Daydream Island, via Hamilton Island.

When to travel:

School holidays are a popular time to visit Day Dream Island and our favourite time to visit is April to June.

Who should visit:

- Perfect for families with snorkelling straight off the resort, a dedicated kids club and spacious rooms accommodating up to 7 people. 

- For couples, Daydream Island is a haven offering adults only areas and cabanas.

Insider Tips:

- Looking for a bargain? Book for stays during February or March

- Book a private beachfront cabana on arrival to avoid missing out

- Some of the best snorkelling is available to those who rise early
